“I’ll Meet You There.”

Drenched each day by a firehose of social chaos and violence, our senses are flooded. We’re at peak saturation.  Angry, scared and bewildered, our survival instincts often trigger responses to fight, freeze, or run away.

An equal and opposite reaction is emerging from all that racket. People are seeking peace, inner peace and outer peace, active connection and mutual respect.

Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and right-doing, there is a field,” goes an ancient poem. It continues, “I’ll meet you there.”

I’ll meet you there,” is an invitation. Would you like to join others in that field?

Nonviolent Communication (NVC) is a skill set that makes sense of the chatter in our heads and the bickering between us. We find words to express charged feelings and unmet needs without doing harm. We can be with others who likewise struggle and find compassion, not blame. And we learn how to hear “no” without getting tipped over.
